The Trip! Kirsty B’s Eastern Travels, October 2019 onwards

All this talk of travel and I realise I never posted my blog of “Want to go” places, from May 2018, nor updated on the trips I’ve booked! Well here it is…

The plan so far…

    • Pushkar
    • Jaipur (Amber Fort)
    • Agra (Taj Mahal)
    • Varanasi (Diwali)
    • Lumbini (Birthplace of Buddha)
    • Chitwan National Park
    • Pokhara
    • Kathmandu
  5. Kathmandu, Nepal: 2 months
    • Everest Base Camp Trek: 15 days

  10. Australia on First Year Working Holiday Visa!

Southeast Asia is part of Stray Asia’s Hop On-Hop Off “The Lot” Tour. The ticket is valid for 12 months and you can hop off as long as you like. Entry into a wide range of “attractions”/temples/museums etc. are already included. I umm’d and ahh’d about it for months but in the end decided that this ticket would give me a set route, with travel and accommodation and sights to see, but also give me the flexibility to go off on my own as well. 😎

  1. OMG – are you doing Pokhara – Katmandhu by road? Did you ever watch ‘The world’s most dangerous roads’ on TV? I watched it just before my sister went off trekking from Pokhara, but never told her about it until she got back safe and sound, or I don’t think she’d have gone! Let’s just say that she was very glad to be able to get a flight back from Pokhara to Katmandhu at the end of their trek. If you’re the slightest bit squeamish, don’t watch the programme!!

We’re off to Perth WA this time next week – can’t wait – with a quick stopover in Bangkok on the way home 🙂 🙂

    Have fun! Sheila

    • Hi! Yes I’m going by road… I got an email to say that KTM airport was being refurbished and that we’d have a private bus instead… I never actually looked into the road until I saw your comment! I haven’t seen the programme but watched a Vlog on YouTube. Doesn’t sound great haha but sounds like an experience! Unfortunately we will have to get a bus back to Kathmandu as well – I expect with how tired I will be that it will be a very long trip! I’m sure I will blog about it!

Have a great time in Perth! Hope you enjoy Bangkok too, I’m looking forward to exploring there 🙂

      All the best,
      Kirsty.
